- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motionon every animation. - Alt text on every content image.
Tested with
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows Firefox).
- Browsers: latest Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
- Automated checks:
axe-coreand the Lighthouse accessibility audit.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site don't fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA yet. We know about these gaps:
- Several small grey labels, a few red labels, the footer copyright line and the step numbers printed over photos are below the 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
- In the mobile menu, Tab can move to links behind the open menu, and Escape doesn't return focus to the menu button.
- In the contact form's "Get in touch" mode, hidden fields stay in the tab order.
- The demo form doesn't mark which fields are required or say which field needs fixing.
- The readiness assessment doesn't move focus to the next question or announce which answer you chose, and its contact fields don't support autofill.
- The deadline planner doesn't announce which hazard type is selected.
- The countdown clock on the timeframes page reads out every second to screen readers.
- At 320 pixels wide, pages scroll sideways.
- Some looping animations have no pause control. They stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
We're fixing these. If you find anything else that doesn't work for you, please tell us.
